Turning off the Wi-Fi on your existing wireless Hub will help improve the performance of your Plume Wi-Fi network by reducing channel utilisation. Turning the old Wi-Fi off will also avoid confusing your devices.
Follow the steps below to disable Wi-Fi on your Virgin Hubs.
Hub 3.0
- Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser address bar and hit enter.
- Enter the password for the Settings page, the default password can be found on the back of your Hub
- Click on the Advanced Settings page navigate to Wireless and then Wireless signal
- Select Disable 2.4GHz and Disable 5GHz
- Click on Apply changes
Super Hub 2 and Super Hub 2ac
- Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser address bar and hit enter.
- Enter the password for the Settings page, the default password can be found on the back of your Hub
- Click on the Wireless Network Settings page navigate to Wireless Band Settings
- Remove the check marks under both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wireless Bands
- Click on Save Settings
Super Hub
- Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser address bar and hit enter.
- Enter the username and password for the Super Hub Settings, the defaults can be found on the back of your Hub
- Click on the Wireless Network Settings page navigate to Security Setting
- Switch Wireless to Off
- Click on Save Settings
