There are some interoperability issues with Sonos when we switch the channels in the Plume network as part of the optimization process. Sonos devices are not able to accept these Channel Switch Announcements (CSAs) that well, which results in Sonos disconnections from the network.
To resolve this issue, we recommend that you connect one, and only one of the Sonos devices (Sonos Speaker, Sonos Boost or Sonos Connect) via Ethernet to one of the Plume Pods and have the rest of your Sonos devices connect wirelessly to that network. This enables the Sonos speakers to form their own ad-hoc network (known as BOOST mode), independent of the WiFi network in the house. This generally eliminates the disconnects that occur when we switch channels on your Plume network.
