Plume will work with a FiOS modem setup. You can set up Plume by connecting a pod to the secondary Ethernet ports of the FiOS Modem/Router combo box, and then plug it into the outlet. Plume will automatically be set up in bridge mode.
Once Plume has been set up, make sure you turn the Wi-Fi off on your FiOS modem.
