Can I buy extra pods from the Plume web store and then add them to my existing account obtained through my ISP?
No, Plume retail pods cannot be added to your Bell Whole-Home WiFi and Comcast xFi pod networks or along with other ISP-provided pods. Management of those pods and their network is via the Bell and xFi apps while Plume pods are managed through the HomePass app.
Can I add the pods that I got from my ISP to my retail Plume account?
Yes, it is possible to add Comcast xFi pods to a Plume Retail account, but this can only be done specifically with the Comcast xFi pods.
Important: xFi pods cannot be added to a Plume network if you have already discontinued your service with Comcast.
** Bell Whole Home WiFi pods and other ISP pods cannot be added to a Plume retail network.
How to add my xFi pod to my Plume retail account?
- Purchase a Plume Membership. (This must be done prior to discontinuing your services with Comcast)
- Contact Plume Support to have the xFi pod firmware updated before discontinuing your xFi service. The pod(s) will not be usable for xFi anymore.
- Plume support will add the former xFi pod(s) to your new Plume membership
After that, you can cancel your services with Comcast.
